Good acting

Based upon the feedback we have received for our short film, it has been praised for the atmosphere of the short film and how it is capable of drawing the viewer's attention to the screen. People commented on how the acting has been well done too. The story of our short film was also praised too and was enjoyable.
A weakness in our short film that was made was that some of the actors weren't loud enough with their speaking parts. If we were to film this again, we would have to prepare ourselves more and practice before going ahead and filming so that each actor has more confidence before going ahead in our short film. We would of had multiple days to rehearse before going ahead with filming or having another day when we film ahead so we can choose between the clips.
Overall, people whom came back to us about the feedback thought that it was a good and engaging story, and enjoyed watching it. However, despite actors being praised people believed that some actors could have spoken more loudly as the dialogue could barely be heard over the music being played in the background. Some stated that one actor sounded 'robotic', and like they was reading off of a script. I believe if we had more time to practice acting out our short film one of the actors wouldn't of had to refer to the script and it would feel more realistic.
Some actors could of stayed in character the whole time. In one scene, where the one character looks scared and once the focus is taken off of them they appear to be fine and have a bored or neutral expression. To improve upon this and so it sounds more realistic, we could have attempted to stay in character the whole time so it looks consistent throughout the whole video and it continues to have a tense and scary atmosphere throughout.
The visual effects were appealing, as stated by people in the focus group but as an individual I believe I could have added more effects onto it. On the Zoom Call, it lacks any visual effects and it is just a bland screen. I believe I could have added more effects onto the sections when they are on the Zoom Call so it looks more appealing and less bland.
At the beginning of our short film, the black background isn't completely filled out and it looks distracting compared to the text on screen. We could of went back and replaced the background so it doesn't look distracting and out of place compared to what is being shown on the screen as it looks out of place.
Since some audio was stated to be possibly too loud, I believe that could of been the reason why people had a hard time hearing what was being said at some scenes, so if I were to go back and re-edit some bits I would decrease the audio.
Someone commented that one or two scenes are a bit inconsistent which I believe is true. I forgot to crop/ resize one or two scenes which makes it seem inconsistent with the rest of the short film. If I had to chance to go back to this and had more time, I would transform the screens to make it bigger so it looks more consistent with the rest of the short film.
I believe that the frequent cuts in our short film makes it engaging, and keeps the viewers eyes on the screen so that they don't look away from the screen compared to if the clip was long and dragged out making the short film interesting and enjoyable to watch for the audience.
The short film could have been a little more longer, and the ending of the short film may seem confusing to some as the main character never specifies what she did. I believe that we could have been more specific about what the main character knew and the other character's knew about the disappearance of 'Laura' as we are not making any follow up videos, and the ending may seem dissatisfying for a lot of people as they are left confused about what happened at the end of the short film.
